Re: Algonkian Novel Writing Courses - Reviews and Interviews
Ever since he made the MAGICIANS IMPOSSIBLE deal with Macmillan Books and Fox Studios he's been scouting the Algonkian writing program for stories to pitch for TV and film. I think he has at least a dozen novels that will be pitched to producers and creative execs... types of shakers like that.

Re: Author Salon Mission and Discussion
The issue for me right now are the three layers that Author Salon that Mr. Neff has included in the craft section. I see the usefulness of approach, and it makes me cringe to glance at the levels of cake I have to make and bake before the Iron Chef of Publication checks off (btw, I'm trying to be w...

Re: Sample of Reviews Related to Algonkian Writer Conference
Since I've been hanging around with Liz. But anyone witless enough to believe such diaper poop doesn't possess the wits necessary to write a commercial novel, so Algonkian shouldn't accept them anyway. Course, they could write a really bad one, like SPACE BABY!!!

Oh, forget it Lee. We see at least two of these types every year. Out of hundreds, they alone release the hounds. It's inevitable. You simply cannot deal honestly with titanic bimbo egos and not see a few eruptions like we've been talking about in this thread.
Seriously, ho hum X 10.

I'm still in transition from Level 2, weeding out "was" and more, but did you see this?

We have to reference this from now on once we're in peer groups. It's daunting, but I like.

Re: Author Salon, Agent Query - Isabel and Woody
The way Author Salon explains in the Six Act 2G, we need a couple of reversals. Plot points in the general sense, but not as AS defines for purposes of the Six Act 2G outline. I think they're trying to keep them separate to prevent any possible confusion. That's how I interpret. I'm not sure how Isa...

Re: Coverage Post and Agent Query on Author Salon
A tangent for a moment, did anyone see that perfectly abominable Woody Allen film set in Rome? I think it was the worst script he's ever written. Only one of the four segments actually hung together. The rest didn't hit the points at all. Here is a review that says it better than I can. It's hard to...
