Re: I Learnt A Language

Hi Michael
Thank you for workshop-ping. I visit this block at least three times daily.I do not comment on all the poems because I don't get some of them due to cultural differences. But I read all the poems several times.

Referencing: A Cinderella/Princess In The Same Culture

He studies at an American university, making innumerable black and white slides. By air he lands on native ground, then returns to his place of birth in a decorated car. An air-plane clip made of semi-precious white stones trails in her hair like a jet stream. Her would-be sister taunts her --- Each...

Mostly fending for myself
I daubed my face with Ponds
I was not confident, so I daubed myself with powder, and pushed my spectacles up my nose.
This line is not necessary?

Your 'minimalist' poems are posted only when they reach perfection.Enjoyed reading and also smiled at the undercurrent humour in it.

Michael and Billy
I feel happy that both your poems have gone. And I am also happy that my poem ,"The Birthing of Snakes" has not gone, because it has not been worked on.I was away from our group for a week or so and that is why I did not see Rus's message. There will be better poems later on.

Those Controversial Diamonds(removed)

I thought that chunk of a paragraph could pass off as a prose poem, but after several readings it reads like bad prose. So I have removed it.
I will be more careful in future before posting.

Billy
I thought of Donne when I read your first line.
How can I love you
The poem is compact, though I don't get the image of the man with the gun.Keep it as it is.Michael usually has some edit points.I have been reading this so many time but the meaning still remains obscure.
