Re: "davidic"
Hi Meena. it is not a poem that can be read backwards - thus by that definition, it is not a reverse poem that it redeems the physiological literal(heart failure) metaphorically(there is no failure of the heart - courage) - in that way, perhaps the term reverse might apply "Make it new" Ezra P...

Re: Think nothing of it
Hi l-p,
Excellent title
Yes, "think nothing of it" - this is not about thought - this is a poem like a passion mark;
it follows that I esp adore & admire: "This heartache does not want to be tamed."

Re: A Dog's Bowl..............an old poem revised
This current is excellent, strong. Thus, the revisit & revision was a productive process. Many writers have observed that revising is rewarding. True grief is not synonymous with sentimentality. When I consider male grief, Heathcliff appears. ". . . I sit up in the middle of the night with moist e...

Hi Bob, Browning comes to mind: "God's in His heaven— All's right with the world! " “On a day like today I am stung by the splendor of a sudden thought.” "What's a Heaven for?" Workshop suggest this lineage: One neighbor bitches that my Japanese maple is dropping leaves in her yard. 8) Michael (MV...

I esp liked: "I confess, in the heart of night, I imagine myself cascading on my lover’s body" workshop consider "over" for "on" I also liked the finale' yet workshop sharing as: " . . . I hide the salt crashing on the reef of you inside my veins." and the simple, yet strong title 8) Michael (MV)
