The Writers Block

If you're new to this board (...or not) and you want to post an item for discussion - please post it over at Palaver. These include posts in the likes of 'I was wondering what people thought is better (short or long poems).' etc. Generally though we are not here to try to help you with style or preferences or general rules about poetry. The function of this site is to get interesting, complex, adult, mature etc etc poems and critique them up to publishable standard. Sometimes the critiques seem impersonal (even harsh). I make no apologies. There are plenty of other places who will indulge you. This site is not about you but about your work and your work should be intentional and your aim not to get ego strokes. In future any posts on this forum which are not poems and/or at least reasonably meaty poems will either be moved to Palaver and/or deleted at the editors' discretion without discussion. If you do not like this and/or agree with this then this is not the place for you. Thank you.

if your poem gets rejected or moved it is your poem and not you we are critical of. If you do not know or are not sure of the difference between 'you' and 'your poem' or where you begin and end and/or your poem begins and ends then again please do not post here.
