Broken Animals

#1 Post by iowaboy99 » 27 Nov 2014, 20:14

[Version 2]

Our animals
sink in our sleep.

Our sleep their ocean
and dark occasion

for drifting
from our notice.

Our animals freeze
in our heedlessness

turn
to stone.

Our animals break
under our feet.

[Version 1]

Our animals
are sinking
in our sleep.

Our sleep
is their ocean,
their dark occasion
for sinking
from our notice.

Our animals are shy.
They freeze
in our forgetfulness
and turn to stone.

Our animals break
under our feet.

Hi iowaboy99,

workshop suggestions illustrated.

Enjoyed - reminded me of the ark in all of us(Jungian)

The movement from nautical to terrestrial: sleep to wake: unconscious to conscious

recalls to me an echo of Goya's "Sleep of Reason"

A wonderful TG weekend to you 8) Michael (MV)

Our animals
are sinking

in our sleep,
their ocean -

and dark occasion
for drifting
out of notice.

Our animals are shy,
and in our forgetfulness
freeze to stone

then break under our feet.
