Paris Report

Explosions heard in the France - Germany
soccer match, players dribble without commitment,
something is wrong, the crowd sing la Marseillaise
as they exit the stadium, assassins with Kalashnikovs
move through the streets, unhurriedly they shoot
at random, no one too innocent for their target,
three coordinated teams create havoc, one hundred
and thirty dead, three hundred and fifty wounded,
many critically injured, blood washes the gutters red,
a woman hangs by her fingertips from the second floor,
ambulances chase shadows of the night, many killed in
a concert and in cafes spread over town, a dark
curtain descends on France tonight, the President
states there will be no pity for the enemy, all eight
ISIS are dead, many more will be dragged out from
their beds, this is not the end this is the beginning
of a nightmare of our times, the darkness closes in
on us in Europe, we groan with memories of past Wars
in fear and trembling, pray for us tonight, pray for
forgiveness for the wicked, pray for our children
and our children's children.
