City Ennui
Saigon buses shimmy
my room, a busty lemon
rolls on the empty table.
---
Noisy motorcycle riders
parade in sun and noise,
odious gas cloud tattoo.
---
Green bikes shimmer
shiny as ornaments
in an American Christmas.
---
Banners swarm lunch stalls,
bus passengers shuffle,
children driven from home.
---
Pedicabs dodge and toddle,
parcels carried in stacks,
boxes for someone else.
---
Below, lunch counter men
speak fast, soup steams,
noodles disappear pronto.
City Ennui

Re: City Ennui
There are some nice, tightly written stanzas. I like the energy, and common joy in the last one...ah, how fast life disappears...savor it...it goes by so fast...pronto!
