The Mozarts Tour
The Mozarts Tour
There is only one bed to share,
with Leopold snoring all night
like a warthog. In the morning
they stand in a long line, famished
until their host nods
and Wolfi flops down
onto a harpsichord's bench,
his legs dangling
a foot above the floor. As he plays
the audience gasps
and applauds like children
seeing their first fireworks.
The prince shrugs: Leopold
and his wife are crushed,
Wolfi racing away happily
in search of pastries.

I always like these poems of yours. I love your descriptions: the warthog just seems perfect to me and don't ask me why, also love "applauds like children/seeing their first fireworks"

Thanks, Billy....appreciate it
Re: The Mozarts Tour
Your poems are short and crisp. This one is no exception. I like it for its expressions.
