I go up the Himalayas
reach the summit.
I view from the Everest
the world below.
The sky overhead is near
spreading a blue incandescence.
I hear no noise.
It is quiet. Damn close.
Fear shoves me forward.
I remain firm.
Sensing a vulnerability.
I masquerade.
I grapple. I stumble
I am suspended.
Exhilaration comes upon
It is a delirium.
Rising not of fever
being one of Gratification
Go Up The Himalayas
Poets post their works-in-progress here for crit and commentary. We want poets who are serious about getting their work published.
