"the HeArt does not go down / with the ship"

bodies estranged
yet the heart & soul keep
in UniSon

funerals pretend the end
but there is no ending

exit to enter
not to inter

murmurs
not mummies

even topsy-turvy
M o M continues W o W
moms over mums

up & ran off with an outlaw
The One & only who broke the law of mortality

eloping from her hospice bed
a launching pad
for the Miracle Lift

into Your hands
there is no phantom-reaper to fear
in the arms of the Shepherd
just the Savior of your opera

from maternity to Eternity
the heart is not earthbound

Her Joy continues
to rhythm & rhyme
with her boy

I am her
strong torch
song

We(e) come to Our Father by way of the Son
but there is no son without the mother

Ruth's son-song
from the One breath
you'll always hear our voice through the night

hearing
with the ear
straight from the heart

I am with you always
(her voice safe surround-sounds me)
on earth as it is in Heaven

catch the wind
but they'll never catch the breadth of us
'cause you won't find the living looking among the dead

The Lord's kingdom is not of this world
I find her expecting me There too
in the nursery of Our Father

the lull without a bye
