"Thankful (this is not a Hallmark verse)"

You won't find the living looking among the dead     -- Luke 24:5

Thankful
for all
the left-overs
in the grave yard

the remains
gobbled up
by the bear belly
of the earth

Never broken or stopped
alright from the start of the course
and already taking the cake
the Heart trumps
by-passing the headstone

the Nativity in the crèche is never a stranger
need is the call to Creativity

The Life-loving
anima exhumed
never lost breath
following the muse
out of this world

that's right
in UniSon
the song

rising without waves & wings
freed from the soundboard
with the re-lenghtless Light
that keeps the Beauty kindled

And then she looks me in the eye and says
"We're gonna last forever"
And man, you know I can't begin to doubt it
No, cause it just feels so good, and so free, and that's right!

I think the amplification makes for a more cohesive poem.
