SINNER OR SAINT

#1 Post by SivaRamanathan » 15 Feb 2018, 22:02

I like you, Mary Magdalene
I do not know if you are a
sinner or a saint
I only know you are human like me
and you have touched the Divine
I like you Mary Magdalene
though I will never say I am a sinner
or a saint, the soul in me
is pure, I am not the body
I am the soul-it is a different logic
altogether, whatever
I like you Mary Magdalene.

I like the narrator’s simple, hesitant voice.

S---

happy to see you experimenting with a new narrative style.

feels authentic, the evolving narrative is clear.

Bob and Bernie

It was written long ago and published in Efflorescence-3--an in house anthology.I brought it back because Michael reminded me of Magdalene.
