Copper Colored as an Ancient Pot

#1 Post by Bernie01 » 18 May 2018, 07:23

The white spell of the tub.
Your lean ballerina foot
clean as the winter Bolshoi,
the water’s fevrille glass surface,
anise-scented goldenrod,
oatmeal soap. Your breasts
float weightless as a cosmonaut
and the gargoyle moon breathes
into my mouth.

You are the master of romantic atmosphere....I love everything but the reference to the gargoyle moon...I am missing the reference. I love "breasts float weightless as a cosmonaut"....a gem. Maybe end with this image?

or maybe...?

We kiss, my heart bumping
against your chest.
Your breasts float weightless
as a cosmonaut

Such lovely lines! A young person on reading them might decide on the spot to become a poet the way I imagine the young J.S. Bach decided on his life's course on hearing an organ for the first time

the water’s fevrille glass surface,

oatmeal soap. Your breasts
float weightless as a cosmonaut

Again, with such brevity.Only you can put the Bolshoi, gargoyles and Russian cosmonauts together. It makes me think of Kremlin, second on only to Taj Mahal in beauty. I am swept away by this. Ephemeral, nostalgic, spiritual.

My second nom
