Bob I think we are cross-posting.

I liked V5 ending, but now it is gone
even as I tried to copy and paste.

Prefer 'faltering candle' very much.

Faltering says it all, trembling doesn't quite fit.

Think you should start a new thread, too complex to keep up now.

Present tense seems okay.

perhaps it would be a good idea to post in a new thread here in the workshop the latest incarnation of this Poe-poem with a parenthetical to indicate it as a June entry:

A Daguerreotype of Edgar Allan Poe, 1849 (the June edition)


I hope to read & workshop more this week on this poem,

as I hope a nom-nod for it,
