Under the rules of baccarat, all tens and face cards (King, Queen, and Jack) have a value of zero. Aces are considered to be ones. All other cards have the value of their number. A five is 5, an eight is 8, and so forth. The key baccarat rule is that when you add up the total of the hand, only the “ones” digit counts. So if a hand adds up to 18, it is really considered an 8 in baccarat."
