Lord of the Crows

Now when Elijah was in a cave
despairing of his life, the Lord
sent crows with beer and sausages
that he might be fortified, and they
ministered to him day and night.

And the Lord blessed the crows
saying, "Because you have done
this, you will neither sow nor reap,
but glean the fields of men."

"And they shall set snares and erect
effigys to afright you, but I the Lord
am with you. You will pick the bones
of the dead and ferry their souls to Heaven;
the drone of a thousand dark wings. "

Interesting... I like the crows as a history lesson, and the irony in this piece... are you familiar with Ted Hughes’ book “Crow”?

Never heard of this story, Ken.
Lord finds all equal.
Hinduism says crows represent the ancestors.
Thanks for sharing.

It's mostly made up. I didn't know that about Hinduism and crows. Thank you.
