Poetry & Poets in Rags of November 13

#1 Post by rus bowden » 14 Nov 2012, 04:54

Dear Poetry Aficionados,

Poetry & Poets in Rags blog

Veterans Day, Armistice Day, Remembrance Day, around the world was yesterday. The news in poetry reflects the occasion, here in Poetry & Poets in Rags, with our first four stories in News at Eleven. Within the articles linked to, you will find war poetry you may not have read before.

We have other, very important news within our Poetic Obituaries section. Among those who have passed away this week are Valerie Eliot and Jack Gilbert. An article on Jack Gilbert came out of the Los Angeles Times, set to be our Back Page article for the week for New at Eleven, when just a couple hours ago, his obituary followed.

It's a varied week for news in poetry, and I'll leave the dozens more articles to your discovery, including what is being called perhaps the "most major" event in U.S. poetry this year. Thanks for clicking in.

Yours,
Rus
