I would be glad to represent the Block. My poem is my original work and has not been published. I am not representing any other board.

Talking To Myself Without Praying
How can I love you
when you're lying
in the street, passersby
walking over you?
The father will save you,
but he's behind bars.
Mother's there beside you,
giggling. Pick yourself up.
Smile. Your friend watches,
waits. The man with a gun
leans against a pole
at the corner of Main.

What about your "A Lang-ku?" It is something very different and I am seeing something like this for the first time.

Re: Upcoming August IBPC 2013:
'Syntax and Semantics 'is my poem and I am not representing any other board, with this poem.
sivakamivelliangiri@gmail.com
"Syntax & Semantics"
I daubed my face with Ponds
pushed German specs up on my nose
dusted my plain skirt and tops,
and ventured into the world
with a few words:
Drumstick, ladyfinger,
all that's water under the bridge;
don't try to pull my legs.
Now I gawk at youngsters
"they chill out, or cool it."
"Freeze" is another such "in" word.
Though I rev in their lines
overpowered by a kick start
I falter waiting to hear
young-blood voices.
I could help untangle the confusion
of their thoughts, but I practice caution
to avoid making a faux-pas.
