Yes, Congrats, Frank (Ieuan ap Hywel)

(Thanks, Billy, for announcing)

Frank, Thanks for bringing an IBPC 3rd Place to the Block

Optimistic way to begin the this New Year

and isn't this your first ever IBPC recognition

and then, too, your first placing while representing for the Writer's Block?

^^ this is my assumption referencing the 2007 - present IBPC archive http://ibpc.webdelsol.com/winning-poems-by-author

however, of course, Frank, please correct me if I am in error about your IBPC statistic

And of course, if this is your first-ever IBPC recognition,
then, Frank, this is indeed very exciting & encouraging news

Yes indeed, it is my first win ever with the IBPC, 3rd place sounds marvellous and there was an honourable mention after me. I am way behind Billy and Siva, maybe one day I can catch them up a little. My first representation of Writers Block, but didn't you out forward one of mine a year or so ago.

My grateful thanks to you Michael for your patience and encouragement over the past seven years, I have not been writing consistently and some months have not written at all, recently I have joined several boards and my writing has improved and my 'muse' has been busy.

I had never intended my work be published, but recently I feel if good enough for the IBPC I may put some poems out there and see what happens.

It is strange how it happens, how a poem forms, I watched a program before Christmas, could not sleep, about tarantulas and it just came like that, in verse. I wrote it down on paper and finished it a week later with some help. Very strange feeling.

The poem was on other boards for some time Michael, but they never picked it, so you must have a good eye for choosing.

Thanks again all who have helped me over the years with critiques.

My last published work was a story in my school magazine in 1958 and an article on good camera use.

If I present a poem this month but it fails to get through to the IBPC can that poem be presented again?

It is a good start to the year. I never thought I could win a placing.

Happy new year everyone.

Frank,

Although you have represented the Block before,

I am observing that your first-ever IBPC recognition happens to be concurrent in a month when you represented for the Writer's Block,

Seems apropos to highlight - at least as I see it - that serendipity - that poetic coincidence

from writer's block to IBPC archive

Yes, it signifies something, and I will not forget it.

I will always post my best on here.
