Deftly strung together. Amazing.

I'm a bit in the dark on the last stanza:

Einstein unlocks some gap in
the space-time continuum so
I was there before you took a fist
of pills with names like Greek gods.

Don't "get" who took a fist of pills with names like Greek gods. And an N appears in this stanza, in first person.
Can you explain a little? I'm flummoxed here... my bad.

Gracy. The ending could be anyone
But it was someone close to N who
committed suicide. N wishes to have been able to prevent it. Sorry to be so blunt.No other way to explain though.

I could get it. Names like Greek Gods. We used to sign our creative letter writing with names like Codopirina and Mr.Eldopar. Aspirina. Even our Auyurvedic names became feminine. That aside the artists are well accounted for. Einstein alone perplexes,maybe because of his theory. That it is suicide is evident in the 'fist of pills.' I like the title best.

i liked so much that "fist full of pills with names like Greek Gods"---i did not see that as suicide, but like so often here in california a still used term for mind expansion through creative chemistry.

prescribed drugs, but substances that often rocket the user to marginal states of health.

and I too enjoyed this rich caldron of names and ideas. adds excitement, intellectual compression.
