Coyote

Love the way you lope
out of the marsh
like a homeless person

who knows where he's going
though where that is
hasn't crossed your mind yet.

How you could care less
if anyone is looking
because you know who you are

in a world where people
thrill to see you
as if it's a miracle

as if you are a prophet or guru
living right under our noses
visiting our backyards

the dogs howling
for a part of themselves
they barely remember

Very good. I love these lines:

How you could care less
if anyone is looking
because you know who you are

in a world where people
thrill to see you
as if it's a miracle

as if you are a prophet or guru
living right under our noses
