When speaking about speed
We are speaking of velocity in feet per second
If about vectors then we would need to add a direction
Like nor ‘west or such headings
Which leads us to velocity vs time diagrams
Not centripetal or even radial acceleration
But of initial and final velocities divided
By two to give the average
Any distance can be calculated by using
The average velocity by the time in seconds
And the final velocity can be ascertained simply
By adding initial velocity plus acceleration
In feet per second squared. It is a simple matter
To combine these statement to arrive at the equation
V squared minus U squared
Equals twice acceleration by time squared
Which, by the similar process gives
The fascination equation that distance (S)
Equals initial velocity by time
Plus Half acceleration by time squared (in feet).
