this craziness
thinking and thinking, or as the song goes,
i thunk and thunk, into the morning hours
after midnight in the dome of despair
thoughts piling on like all those bodies
in grade school piling on when i had the
football and i wasn't very good at sports
i'd be claustrophobic gasping for air
dying i thought though i didn't really know
what dying was not until Denny died
a few years later in a car crash i never
recovered not really and when i lived
on the reservation a Diné elder leaned
into me said the death of someone close
haunts us makes us a little crazy until we
face death ourselves and understand
this craziness

Re: this craziness out of control for the moment
Hi Billy,
Potent and appeals to my sensibility - I like the way the poem *piles(composes itself) together* -
and manifests in wisdom from the breath of an elder source.
I don't believe the poem has found its title,
yet hoping it will -
and might even represent the Writer's Block in the upcoming IBPC.
