Four Tanka

#1 Post by RamanathanSiva » 20 Apr 2023, 21:59

Two Heads Together

Exploring tiny
patches of unkempt earth grass
shrinking touch-me-nots
cuddling wild life soft toys
noticing tadpoles on gates.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Mammoth Moth

Clinging to tree bark
big orange and golden moth
stretches out its wings
such beauty unseen elsewhere
I worry about short life
but it will live in images
my mobile phone gallery.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Moving Boulders of Kadumane

Pleats of mist mountains
on the other side the valley
can count the numbers
the fog clears we realize
boulders cannot move,
these have legs, four each,
the tour guide’s trump card, bison.

Driving downhill
venturing into the forests
sloping and curving u turns
we reach the picnic spot
pristine waters, still pond
we splash our feet
fish nibble our toes

we splash our feet
fish nibble our toes
