Poetry & Poets in Rags of July 3

#1 Post by rus bowden » 04 Jul 2012, 05:42

Dear Poetry Aficionados,

Poetry & Poets in Rags blog

Last week we began with Simon Armitage. We repeat, only flip the places of the two stories that he is headlining in. We begin with fresh articles covering his 270-mile walk of the Pennine Way as a true troubadour, living and boarding on his trek in exchange only for his poetry. Our second story, then, are this week's articles on his brainchild Poetry Parnassus. He is the uncrowned Poet Laureate of the World, at least this summer he sure is.

What follows those two stories are dozens more where they came from, the searching of the web for the most pertinent articles to poetry aficionados like ourselves. Don't skip over the nine more articles in the News at Eleven section, but in Great Regulars, we have items by (in alphabetical order) David Biespiel, Sarah Crown, Terry Eagleton, Alison Flood, Linda Sue Grimes, Hillel Italie, Adam Kirsch, and more.

Thanks for clicking in.

Yours,
Rus
